Objectives of the Project:

  • Documents review and Data Collection from the field.
  • Site Visit (CCC area and surroundings) for observing the activities, facilities and all other details about SWM.
  • Conduct the necessary FGDs, KII and IDIs.
  •   Industrial site visit to observe the SWM situation
  • 02 Landfill visit and assessment(Waste disposal pattern, waste generation quantity, transport, facilities,
  • manpower, environmental impact, etc)
  • Waste composition/characterization survey and analysis (Separate waste analysis for 02    blocks of CCC based on 02 landfill sites. It will be conducted in 03 income level areas)
  • Chemical test of wastewater/leachate (will be tested in the lab)
  • Assessment of City's waste management system
  • Site Visit/gather information of 09 surroundings municipalities of CCC about SWM activities,    facilities, interlink of transportation/distance, etc.

Detail Description of Actual Services will be provided by CC’s Experts and Staff:

The main activities in the project included;

City Visit, observation and reconnaissance

  • Primary waste collection by CCC
  • Primary collection at HH level by PCSP (private collection service providers)
  • Operation and activities at STS (secondary transfer station) and capacity of STS to store and carry out the waste transfer operation
  • City markets (grocery and vegetable)
  • Any informal/poorly managed secondary waste management facility
  • Recycling initiatives, waste pickers activities, waste traders, circular economy, etc.
  • Finial disposal/Landfill sites

Waste generation, collection and disposal survey

  • waste generation at the HH level
  • Waste storage practice
  • Waste collection system and disposal
  • Amount of waste per non-motorize tri-cycle van
  • Waste composition survey, laboratory test and analysis
  • City waste was taken at the landfill sites from the tri-cycle vans, filled with collected waste. Then it was segregated and analyze. It has also collected waste water/leachate from landfill site, preserve it properly and gave it to the lab for chemical test and
